Women, Girls and Youth Empowerment

Every year, we recruit about 10 female school dropouts from Nyamira and Kisii counties with the help of chiefs from specific locations in both counties. We partner with experts in life skills to provide these ladies with soft skills, computer skills, decision-making skills, and skills for small-scale business start-ups at our offices or other selected locations. Following that, we sponsor these ladies to pursue courses in fields such as tailoring, hospitality, and mechanics.

This project aims to provide capacity-building opportunities to young mothers in the counties of Kisii and Nyamira through life skills training, vocational skills, and business management to help them earn a livelihood for themselves and their families. The program will help young mothers, mostly those who cannot continue with education due to early pregnancies, to reintegrate into society, start small businesses, or pursue vocational training. The program also involves mentorship activities to help the young mothers overcome stigma and create conducive environments in their local communities.
